Celebrating this year’s Catholic Education Week Mass, Bishop Crosby reminded students of Jesus’ command “to love one another, to take care of one another, to look after one another.”
Close to 2,000 students and staff from across the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board assembled at Cathedral High School on Monday, May 7 for the annual Mass to kick off Catholic Education Week (May 7-11). The theme for Catholic Education Week 2018, “Renewing the Promise,” invited students and staff to reflect on ways in which they could come to better know, love and serve the Lord.
“One of the important goals of Catholic Education is to create young adults who are able to think about the needs of others and help whenever and wherever they are able,” said the bishop.
