Dear Parents/Guardians, we hope that your families and loved ones are well, physically, spiritually and mentally, during these times of great uncertainty. We will pull through as a Catholic Canadian community. We just met online as a staff to discuss how we can support you and the children. We will provide some information but please continue to monitor our Board and School website for important information about your child's education and the welfare of your family.
Continue to monitor your teacher's technology portals such as LMS, Class Dojo and other technology portals our staff have set up for you this year. Some staff have began posting information and have communicated with parents.
Continue to have your child read Raz Kids. It will help them continue the great improvements many of our children have showed in reading.
All school and church related activities have been cancelled/postponed over the next two weeks which includes the First Reconciliation. We will keep you posted beyond April 6th.
In the attachments we have an important letter from the Ministry of Ontario in French and in English. We also have an article that our board is circulating about Coping With Anxiety During COVID-19.
Remember you are not in this alone. Do your best to consider this a blessing as most of us will have ample time to spend with the most important people in our lives-our family.
I will leave you with this prayer from Pope Francis' Prayer to Our Lady, Health of the sick.
O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick.
At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith.
You, Salvation of the Roman People, know what we need.
We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee,
joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will
and to do what Jesus tells us:
He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us,
through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen.
We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God.
Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.
