Track & Field Event

Congratulations to the track & field team who competed on Wed. June 5th/13 against several schools. The students had lots of fun and displayed great sportsmanship. Special recognition goes to Lucas B. who advanced to the City finals and placed 3rd overall!

Cross Country Event

Our Cross Country date is on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Marydale Park. Students from grades 1-8 are welcome to participate in this event. Good luck everyone and have fun!!

Hamilton Indoor Games 2013

On Thursday, February 21st, 2013, Holy Name of Jesus participated in the Hamilton Indoor Games at Copps Coliseum. The school competed against several schools from Ontario. 19 students represented the school with great sportsmanship. Special recognition goes out to the following students for their achievements:

Junior Girls 4x1Relay : Quiara J, Macenzie K, Breanna M and Alaica M received a bronze medal.
Senior Boys Long Jump : Andre M received a gold medal.
Bantam Boys Long Jump : Lucas B received a bronze medal.
Junior Girls Triple Jump : Quiara J recieved a silver medal.
Senior Boys Triple Jump : Andre M received a bronze medal.

Holy Name of Jesus - Free Throw Competition 2013

On Friday, February 15th, 2013, Holy Name of Jesus hosted their First Annual Free Throw Competition. Four boys and four girls from Grades 5 - 8 competed at lunch by taking 15 shots from the free throw line. Congratulations to all the students who participated in the event and especially the following who won in their category:

Goldenball Basketball Tournament

The Holy Name of Jesus Huskies will be participating in the 2nd annual Goldenball Basketball Tournament hosted by St. Lawrence Catholic Elementary School on Friday February 1, 2013 and Saturday February 2, 2013. The Junior Boys' Basketball Team will play their first game at 5pm on Friday and the outcome will determine their schedule for Saturday. The Senior Boys' Basketball Team will play at 4pm and 8pm on Friday and their results will dictate their schedule for Saturday. Good luck to both teams. Go Huskies!
